A Specific Implementation of Reflective Journals in Self-Regulating Academic Presentation Skills

Reflection journal writing is recognized as an effective learning activity in facilitating learners’ self-regulative skills and abilities their academic performance the literature. It evident that self-regulation of vital importance learning. Hence, this study aims to investigate self-reflective on university students’ strategies a scope presentation speaking course. An exploratory mixed-method research design was adopted. The participants were selected with convenience sampling method included 94 undergraduate students studying at prominent English-medium instruction public university. data collected through online questionnaire, reflections ‘Reflection Journal’ task, which aimed develop awareness work for own Students assigned videotape two main presentations during required language course, keep reflect certain points predetermined by course instructor. both perceptions about self-regulated presenting, effectiveness task promoting findings indicated majority benefited from helped them micro-level skills.
